Fees
The fees for adult and youth membership of 2nd Armidale Scout Group are as follows:
- $580. Annual Fee = $290 for Scouts NSW + $290 for 2nd Armidale Scout Group. Commencing 1 May every year (pro rata). The Active Kids Rebate can be used towards this fee. This fee can be paid in instalments. This fee covers:
- Essential services and behind the scenes operations at a Region and State level
- Public liability and personal accident insurance for all youth and adult members participating in Scouting in NSW
- Region services such as customer support and administration for members
- The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the Scouts Australia levies for the national program and training
- Services such as youth protection, risk management, member services, grant facilitation and processing, training administration, accounting services, financial and statutory compliance, lease management and property compliance, marketing and communication activities, and the management and upgrading of IT systems such as ScoutLink, our membership system
- Delivery of the Scouting program locally, including the cost of purchasing materials for weekly meetings and activities, and purchasing equipment
- Leader membership, training, and personal expenses incurred in the delivery of scouting programs
- Cost of Scout Hall maintenance, insurance, rates and utilities
- $125. one-off joining fee. This fee covers registration with Scouts NSW and purchases two badge record books, a scarf, and investiture badges.
- $50. A uniform shirt. This shirt will need to be purchased by you for your child from the Scout Shop. Sometimes, a second hand shirt can be sourced. Please inquire if you would like to obtain a second-hand shirt.
Deductions for multiple children
For each additional child, an annual deduction of $40 is a applied.
- 2nd child receives a $40 annual deduction
- 3rd child receives a $80 annual deduction
- 4th child receives a $120 annual deduction
- (and so on)
Deductions for leaders, both trainee and certified
The Group Support Committee pays for the annual fee and one-off joining fee for leaders (both trainee and certified).
Deductions for children of certified leaders
Every child of a certified leader receives a $200 annual deduction. This is in addition to deductions for multilple children.
Group Support Committee Role
This fee structure is determined by the 2nd Armidale Scout Group Support Committee. It is reviewed annually. Every effort is made to keep this site up to date. However, the minutes of the Group Support Committee are the authority on fees.
